Bioinformatics Tools

The “Data Bank” contains many types of interrelated information in a concise format, and provides a platform for analysis, interpretation, and display of the data. Such bioinformatics tools are themselves the products of considerable research and development in the field of information technology. Bioinformatics tools must be tailored to meet the needs of researchers and policy-makers in diverse fields such as agriculture, medicine, ecology and resource management. Information systems must provide guidance and training for the deposition, storage and management of data and the provision of biological resource services to users. The standardization of natural resource and information storage processes is a challenging task that needs special support in order to be effective. The NSTDA provides such support
